The Loveland Police Division and Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles recommend parents and guardians obtain an Ohio Identification Card for their children. The identification card will assist emergency services in the event a child needs assistance. In order to provide emergency services with all necessary information please provide Next of Kin information when obtaining an identification card. To obtain an identification card visit any local deputy registrar. The registrar will require proof of the child’s name, date of birth, and social security number if assigned. A child under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian must provide proof of their name, date of birth, and social security number in addition to the child’s. There is no minimum age for obtaining an identification card. A fee of $8.50 will be charged for the identification card. For further details visit http://www.bmv.ohio.gov/idrkids.stm
